The park’s environment ranges from lush groundwater forests to grassy floodplains and the scenic Great Rift Valley escarpment. The views of the lake against the backdrop of the escarpment are particularly breathtaking.

You can encounter a variety of animals, including eqlephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, baboons, and a rich diversity of bird species. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, which can sometimes be spotted lounging in the branches of the acacia trees.
