Day 1: Welcome to Uganda

Your journey begins with your arrival at Entebbe Airport, where you will receive a warm welcome from our guide. You will then be transported to Kampala, where you’ll spend the night at the Laico Lake Victoria Hotel. Enjoy a delightful dinner.

Day 2: From Kampala to Murchison Falls

After being picked up from your hotel or place of residence in Entebbe, you’ll embark on a scenic five-hour drive towards Murchison Falls. Along the way, you’ll pass through the renowned Luwero Triangle and continue to Masindi, with a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Project for an unforgettable Rhino trek. Following lunch, you’ll visit the Boomu women community project before heading to Murchison Falls. Here, you can witness the awe-inspiring sight of the Nile River, which narrows from up to 1 kilometer to squeeze through a 7-meter canyon, dropping 45 meters with a thunderous roar, creating a beautiful rainbow and a plume of spray. This is the famous Murchison Falls. As the day draws to a close, you’ll drive to your chosen accommodation: Paraa Safari Lodge, Murchison River Lodge, Pakuba Safari Lodge, or Fort Murchison. Enjoy both lunch and dinner.

Day 3: Exploring Murchison Falls

Start your day with a cup of African coffee and an early morning game drive with your guide. Keep your eyes peeled for elephants, lions, cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, and more. If luck is on your side, you might even spot a leopard. Return to your accommodation for breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a boat trip towards the Murchison Falls, where you’ll encounter crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, water birds, and other wildlife. The boat takes you to the base of the 43-meter-high Murchison Falls, where the Nile River dramatically narrows and plunges into a frothy pool, creating a thunderous spectacle. This area is also rich in bird species. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at Paraa Safari Lodge, Murchison River Lodge, Pakuba Safari Lodge, or Fort Murchison. Your meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 4: Journey to Kibale Forest National Park

Embark on a full day of driving as you head south from Murchison Falls to Fort Portal, passing through lush countryside and traditional homesteads along the Albertine Rift escarpments. Fort Portal, nestled beneath the Mountains of the Moon, will be your destination. You’ll spend the night at Kyaninga Lodge, Crater Safari Lodge, Ndali Lodge, Primate Lodge Kibale, Mountains of the Moon Hotel, or Kibale Forest Camp. Enjoy meals throughout the day, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Travel to Bwindi

Begin the day with a half-day chimpanzee trek in Kibale Forest National Park, where you’ll also have the chance to encounter other primate species and learn about the park’s diverse flora and fauna. After lunch, continue your journey to Bwindi via Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you might spot elephants, buffaloes, and more. Bwindi is a lush highland rainforest known for its rich biodiversity. You’ll stay overnight and enjoy meals at Buhoma Lodge, Mahogany Springs, Gorilla Safari Lodge, Nkuringo Bwindi Lodge, Silverback Lodge, Engagi Lodge, or Chameleon Hill Lodge. Your meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Today, your adventure includes an early morning trek to see the rare Mountain Gorillas. The tracking may take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, but the experience is truly exceptional. Afterward, you’ll spend the afternoon on a foot safari exploring the local communities surrounding the park. You’ll once again stay overnight and dine at your chosen accommodation in Bwindi.

Day 7: Return to Kampala/Entebbe

As your journey nears its end, you’ll travel back to Kampala and then to Entebbe. Enjoy lunch along the way and make a stop at the Igongo cultural center and the Equator in Uganda. Finally, you’ll head to the airport for your evening departure. Your remarkable journey comes to a close.
