Your journey begins as our guide/driver picks you from your hotel or place of residence in Kampala or Entebbe. We’ll take you to Entebbe International Airport, where you’ll catch a scheduled flight to Bwindi. You have the option of selecting a morning or afternoon flight. During your two-hour flight, you’ll marvel at the breathtaking aerial views of the ever-changing landscape, transitioning from lush highland rainforests to rich primates and exotic bird habitats, valleys, hilltops, and papyrus swamps. Upon your arrival at either Kihihi or Kisoro Airstrip, our vehicle will transfer you to your chosen lodge. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at one of the following: Buhoma Lodge, Mahogany Springs, Gorilla Safari Lodge, Nkuringo Bwindi Lodge, Silverback Lodge, Engagi Lodge, or Chameleon Hill Lodge. Start your day with breakfast in preparation for your gorilla trek, commencing at 8:00 am with a briefing from UWA staff. Be sure to bring essential items like a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots, and more. Your experienced guides will lead you into the jungle to encounter the elusive primates within your designated group. Don’t forget your lunch boxes and all necessary gear for this exceptional wildlife adventure, as tracking the rare Mountain Gorilla is a truly exhilarating experience. The trek may vary in duration, spanning from 2 to 6 hours, but the reward is immeasurable. In the afternoon, engage in a village walk, offering you a unique opportunity to witness the lives of the communities surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This experience also directly supports the local community. The walk starts at Buhoma Community Rest Camp and is highly informative and rewarding for the average visitor. You’ll be astonished by the resourcefulness and ways of the local people as you observe and learn from them. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at one of the mentioned lodges. On this final day, you have two flight options for your return from Bwindi. You can opt for a morning flight departing at 09:45, arriving in Entebbe at 11:25, or choose the afternoon flight departing Bwindi at 14:45 and arriving in Entebbe at 16:15. Whichever you select, our guide will be ready to transfer you to the airstrip, ensuring you catch your return flight from Bwindi to Entebbe for your onward journey back home. This marks the end of your unforgettable adventure. The meal plan for the day includes breakfast.
